Myths vs. Facts

The Change for Delran's Future Team wants to reassure you that we are working hard to deal with the issues that you know need to be addressed.

QUESTION: The Town Council wanted to use the surplus from the Delran Sewerage Authority for non-Sewer purposes?

ANSWER: NOT EVEN CLOSE!
Town Council abolished the Sewerage Authority to save money. Unfortunately, the Sewerage Authority felt that rather than trust Council to continue to save the taxpayers' money, they spent ALL of their surplus before they handed the Sewer Department over to Council.

They spent all $2.8 Million in the 18 months between January 1, 2009 and July 14, 2010. That kind of financially irresponsible actions apparently even surprised Harry Fox. Unfortunately, he was the Chairman during the time the money was spent.

QUESTION: Will my vote really make a difference?

ANSWER: YES
Delran's municipal elections are rarely won or lost by more than 200 votes. There are no delegates, super delegates or Electoral College. This is where your actual vote counts. One recent election was won by a mere 11 votes. People around the world are giving their lives for the right to vote, we urge you to take the time to exercise your right.
